Saturday March 7 9:30am-4pm | 2026 APS African American Youth Empowerment Summit (AA-YES) Location: Albuquerque Public Schools College and Career School (940 University Blvd SE - at the back of the CNM campus) AA-YES is a youth cultural leadership event centered around the empowerment of African American / Black / African students and students committed to becoming strong allies. It is open to all high school students in the Albuquerque Public Schools (no matter their race/ethnicity/background). There will be opportunities for students to build knowledge and/or understanding about their culture(s), develop skills around being a strong ally / foster allies, develop their leadership, and build community understanding and networks. Saturday March 21 10am-2pm | Black Family Wellness Expo Location: Albuquerque High School (800 Odelia Rd NE, 87102) Sponsored by the Albuquerque Chapter Links, Inc., this community event promotes health and wellness for the entire family.
